We also maintain a vast network of colleagues, affiliates, and community leaders to stay current on community and market information. Before your property hits the market, your realtor may already have a colleague in mind with a buyer looking for a house just like yours!
2. We have resources unavailable to the public
Who doesn’t love those big, free real estate websites where you can search for a new home without having to involve a Realtor? They advertise on tv, come up first in your search engine, and has the capability to search properties anywhere in the country. What if I told you that those websites include grossly outdated information? Should you find a property on one of those sites that you’re absolutely in love with, chances are that property has already been sold. Those websites are fine if you’re just curious or kicking tires, but as a serious buyer, only a Realtor has up to the minute information about a property. The author of this article was contacted by one of those websites about a property she had listed for sale ONE MONTH after the property closed. They were just getting around to updating their records. Again, only a Realtor has current information about the properties on the market.
